Juniors

Our very active Junior Club caters for boys and girls from the ages of 8 up to 20. Coaching takes place throughout the year and the Juniors can book tee times online for exclusive Thursday Competitions. Our Junior teams also compete in inter-club events and Open competitions.

Our Fees
All Juniors pay €110 (including €10 contribution to Junior Section) plus Golf Ireland fee. Junior Membership runs from March to February.
Children and grandchildren of members have free membership – Junior Section contribution - €10 plus Union fee.

Our Aim
The aim of our Junior Section of Donabate Golf Club is to help you to enjoy your golf whatever level you may aspire to. We also hope to make your golf experience one of fun in a friendly and safe environment where great friendships can be made.

We hope that being a junior member of our club will prove to be an enjoyable experience for you. For those of you who are beginning your golf journey, we aim to give you the best possible opportunity to learn golf in a fun and safe environment and develop your skills so that you can progress at a rate that is suitable for your individual needs. For those who are progressing, we hope you will avail of the opportunity to be selected for team events.

The Junior Convenors work with a group of adult volunteers and we are there to help you as best we can to ensure that your experience at the Club is a positive one.

Junior Competitions
During summer months the times for competitions on Thursday mornings are:
18 Holes: Tee time 8am – 9 am
9 Holes: Tee time 9am – 9.30 am
Cadets: 9.30am – 11.30 am

Coaching with our Pro will be organised at specific times during the summer.

Boys with Golf Ireland handicap index of 19.9 or less qualify to play in Men’s Competitions. Girls with Golf Ireland handicaps may play in Ladies Competitions.
