Handicap Rules:
All players in the match will individually calculate a course handicap (CH). To calculate your CH, why not use our WHS Handicap Calculator. Each pair takes 60% of the lower CH and 40% of the higher CH and adds them together, this is the pairs playing handicap. The full difference between these handicaps will determine the number of shots given/received.
For example:
1) Tom calculates his CH as 6, his partner John calculates his CH as 10
2) Tom receives 60% of 6 = 3.6, John receives 40% of 10 = 4, giving a total of 7.6
3) Michael calculates his CH as 15, his partner Frank calculates his CH as 20
4) Michael receives 60% of 15 = 9, Frank receives 40% of 20 = 8, giving a total of 17
5) The difference between the team allocations is 17 – 7.6 = 9.4, which means Michael and Frank receive 9 shots
Note: Both drive, then select preferred and play the selected ball.
