Countess of Granard Foursomes
A big thank you to today’s sponsors – D. McCusker, T. Kilmurry
The Granard Cup is one of the longest running ladies golf competitions in Ireland, having begun in 1933. The format of the competition is Foursomes Stableford. Participating golf clubs hold a qualifying tournament and the winners go forward to the county final which will be held this year in Newlands Golf Cub on Monday 13th August. Incidentally the Rolls Royce belonging to Lady Forbes, the Countess of Granard was sold for €225,000 in 2016. Just to avoid severe disappointment, please note that the main prize will not be a Rolls Royce.
Secure your entry to the county final in Newlands by paying the entry fee of €5 per pair for the qualifying round of this competition. Entry details with money envelopes will be provided on the day. All funds will go directly to Children’s Services at NCBI (National Council for the Blind in Ireland).
