Fred Daly:
The Under 18 Boys faced their most daunting task last Saturday against a very strong Dundalk side which boasted 2 Leinster Inter Provincial players.

Golf played was of the highest level and sportsmanship of the boys was excellent too. Donabate put up a great fight but alas this years wonderful journey came to an end with a 3 1/2 – 1 1/2 win for Dundalk. We wish them well in the remainder of the competition. One thing for sure is our boys have learned and improved so much, it won’t be long before we are up there challenging with the best for this title.

Thanks as always to Danny and Damien for input with selecting the team and John Galvin & John McGillicuddy for their assistance at the away venues and of course thanks to all the lads for their preparation and hard work in getting ready for these matches. Already looking forward to next year.

Under 15’s:
The second round of the Leinster Under 15 matchplay saw our boys over in Roganstown last Sunday for the 2nd leg. Trailing 3-2 after the first leg at Donabate, wins for Luke Mitchell, Eoghan Gallagher and Brian Hanratty on the 20th brought the match into sudden death. This required Carl Smith to go down the 19th but unfortunately the hole eluded our ball on the 19th for Carl and Roganstown progress on to the next round. Thanks to all the boys who took part and played some wonderful golf. Already looking forward to next years competition.
